All-too-often issues are decided upon by political posturing rather than what the best solution or solutions can be. There are usually four or five solutions that will work. It should not matter where the best technical solutions come from, only that we use the best. No information other than server IP addresses are gathered. This is similar to gathering an area code of a phone number.
