 America Lost
The Wall of News August 2, 2009

Each generation has claimed that America is going off the rails and there will be no America as we know in the near future. This emotion is understandable because change can be threatening. Some of these changes create the possibility of some doors opening that should not. When Pandora's Box was open in Greek Mythology, evil was brought into this world. We now have a real Pandora's Box.

In this monograph the subject is not technology, it is not Republicans, Democrats, Liberal, or Conservative. For each, when applied with integrity and wisdom will continue those things that are dear to us. Is the problem our loss of vision? What is it that we as a nation wish to accomplish, at the basic level?

When addressing our core beliefs as a country, our concern is the opportunity to raise a family and educating our children including core values of freedom and the opportunities for success that encourages good character and high ethics from all of us. With this in mind we have also wished to protect the minority from being driven away from these goals. Government was to be a protector, not an instigator of roadblocks.

Somewhere between here and there the attitude of government has changed from being a promoter of freewill and self-sufficiency and has become the a wall blocking attempts for success unless it is primarily by government's terms, not by our own, whether individually or collectively.

There are specific governmental duties that are addressed in the Constitution with the rights of states coming first. By controlling most aspects of money, all government is taking over those duties that we as a people should hold dear and treasure as our own duties and responsibilities.

A 3% federal tax, based upon Gross National Product, and likewise a 3% of Gross State Product is more than a sufficient sum for those government responsibilities specifically documented as duties by these governments. Before the 16th Amendment, the federal budget was paid by bringing a tax bill to the States with differences of amount based upon population.

We as a people are abdicating our responsibilities and allowing our elected leaders to be individuals who, from either party, are not dedicated to the best for our country's citizens and our nation as a whole. Few elected officials have the character needed to stand above the corruption and claim the actions of mis-deeds and mis-direction found all-too-often from within their ranks.

This nation has allowed a system to be put into place that mandates most elected officials follow the money for re-election instead of the path mandated by integrity and ethics. The 1939 movie, Mr. Smith goes to Washington, starring Jimmy Stewart, would in real life today mean political suicide from those who are feeding at the trough of greed and power.

As a rule, each political party is trying to out-spend one another offering a chicken in every pot and free this-and-that which will cost each individual from 10 to one hundred times more than the price of the privately obtain commodity. A free government handout is the most expensive form of obtaining something that was every created. And the non-material cost of this is your freedom as is often portrayed in movies where a character sells his soul to the devil. But along with selling your soul to the government, you are selling everyone else's soul along with your own.

The first step of creating voter control over the political structure is to repeal the 16th Amendment. The Federal government must not be allowed to obtain any money for any reason from any citizen or any American-based company. This should be the sole purview of the States and then the money is forwarded to the Federal government.

This is not a political statement. This is a technical fact. Why do you think the Founding Fathers made the States the funding instrument of the Federal Government? So that power by wealth would not occur as it is happening today. The Federal Government prints the money, values the money, and taxes the money. This makes the Federal Government a monopoly that has now added to this fiefdom, spending the money.

If we the voters do not like it, what can we do? When we vote one politician out of office the new elected official, most often, is a carbon copy of previous official. And it is because we as a people are turning more and more control over to an entity that has as its only goal, more power and more control – government.

Whatever your view of government and politics, it is time to stop government creep, the continuing invasion of government to into our lives and the removing of freedoms from citizens. It is now time for Voter Creep. The power of the voter must be re-initialized so that we regain our true power and rights, returning government back to the role of being the servant of the people.

To start the process of voter creep, it is now time to contact every elected Federal Representative and state that it is now time for voter creep: Repeal the 16th Amendment and outlaw the Federal Government from obtaining any money from any American Citizen or American Corporation. Use your own words to say this; and, tell them in e-mails, phone calls, and letters.

In quick-speak the statement is: Voter Creep.

Why are we doing all the things that are going on in our life? Is it to turn the reward for our effort over to government? Do we wish our children to do the same? We have in the past worked everyday to make our lives better. We have worked very hard to make our children's lives better. We have dedicated ourselves to make America a better country tomorrow than it was yesterday.

Why now are we now turning all the reward from our efforts over to the government? It is time for Voter Creep.
